There’s nothing like a road trip to clear your head, have some fun and strengthen bonds with friends. The French Riviera, known in French as Cote D’Azur (the blue coast) extends from Toulon to Ventimiglia, but is better known for Saint-Tropez, Cannes, Nice and, of course, Monaco.

Our road trip started in Nice, went by Cannes and then Saint-Tropez. One week to enjoy the warmth of the Mediterranean and the active nightlife of the French Riviera. Car hire Nice was as easy as it can get, although we weren’t expecting that there’d be a price difference for dropping the car off in some other town. But it was all good, we weren’t expecting this trip through one of the glamour areas of Europe to be cheap anyway. We were a little overwhelmed by Nice, so going to much smaller Cannes was an improvement. People seem to party with a different attitude, almost as if they were almost too cool for being out there, but just enough to have a good time. But the really nice beaches were in Saint Tropez, as expected. And beach time was what at least 2/3 of us were going for the most, so it was nice that it came right at the end of our trip, so we wouldn’t miss it as much.
