If you are a boxing enthusiast, it is likely that you are doing everything you can to be at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada on the 12th November 2011 to watch the WBO Welterweight boxing championship between Juan Manuel Marquez II and Manny Pacquiao. This epic fight is one that should not be missed and promises to be a fantastic battle between two great boxers. If you are trying to get from Washington to Las Vegas, there are a couple of options available to you:

Flying is usually the cheapest and quickest option, particularly since national flights are very good value. Between six and eight flights depart Washington DC to Las Vegas, between 6.15am and 6.50pm. Airlines that cover these flights include Southwest, United and US Airways and the flight time is around 5 and a half hours.

You could also opt to travel by train, which is a three day long journey. It would mean travelling from Washington to Chicago, which takes around 18 hours. You will then have around five hours to spend in Chicago before boarding the train to Salt Lake City, which takes 34 hours. In Salt Lake City, you will have less than an hour to wait to get on a Greyhound bus that will be able to take you to Las Vegas in around 8 hours.

Of course, you could also take the Greyhound straight from Washington, which takes around 2 days and 5 hours, with two transfers.

Your last option would be to drive, which is a distance of 2,409 kilometres and should take you one day and 15 hours, if you make no stops at all.

As you can see, if you have managed to get hold of tickets for this amazing fight, there are plenty of ways for you to travel from Washington to Las Vegas. For the others that decide to watch this fight at home we can only recommend some Pacquiao vs Marquez live streaming!

London is arguably one of the biggest and best shopping capitals of the world, if not the most varied too. From Oxford Street to Covent Gardens people flock from all over the world to have a shopping expedition here, especially over Christmas when the festive activities set everyone in the best frame of mind for Christmas.

The famous shops, streets and markets fill London with diversity and excitement and it is this that has made London its name in the highly competitive and every changing shopping industry. People want to experience first hand what walking into Harrods feels like and experience the energy of one of the world busiest high streets: Oxford Street.

So, where are the best streets to go and what cannot be missed? Here’s a quick guide. The most notable and famous shops that you must visit when staying in London are:

Harrods: Set in Knightsbridge. It is the largest store in the UK and considered to be the most upmarket department store in the world.

Hamleys Toy Store: Set in Regents Street. One of the largest toy stores in the world it spans across seven floors and has about 5 million tourists a year visiting it.

Fortnum and Mason: Set in Piccadilly, this department store was founded as a grocery store and is renowned for its quality, gaining iconic status across the world.

Harvey Nichols: set in Knightsbridge it hosts world renowned brands in womenswear, menswear, accessories, beauty and food.

Selfridges Department Store: Set in Oxford Street it is the second biggest shop in the UK and has built a reputation for bold art initiatives when it comes to their window displays.

When it comes to the best high streets to visit then Oxford Street has to be at the top of your list. With over 300 shops it is one of the busiest shopping streets in the world. There’s Regent Street which is regarded as an upmarket shopping street including high class retailers such as Austin Reed and Hamleys. Bond Street is even more upmarket than Regents Street and is set Mayfair, famous for its jewellery shops and arts and antiques. Carnaby Street is most famous for being one of the hippest places in the swinging sixties and is still home to a large number of independent boutiques which make it as unique as ever. Saville Row, which runs parallel with Regents Street, is famous for its traditional men’s bespoke tailoring of suits. In fact, the term ‘bespoke’ is thought to have originated here when cloth for a suit would be said to ‘be spoken for’ by individual customers.

When choosing which London Hotels to stay in don’t worry too much about the location because everywhere is easily accessible using the underground.
